Restoration of Status

Have you found yourself suddenly with an expired visa or permit?

Here at Built In we lead you through the process of restoring your status.

From the point at which your temporary resident status expires, such as visitor, work or student permit, you must lodge your Restoration application within a specific number of days. You will also be able to apply within this specific day total if you have applied for an extension to your Temporary Resident status but it was declined.

It’s best to not find yourself in this positon as if you need to apply for a Restoration of Status, as a worker you would not be able to work during the Restoration period and as a student you would not be permitted to study during that time. You could only resume those activities once your status was restored.
